Recap of Pat and Lauren’s Honeymoon Roadtrip

Pat and Lauren eloped in Alaska and then went on an epic roadtrip around the state! Our adventure started in Seward. After flying into Anchorage and picking up their marriage license, the two drove down to Seward. They spent their first day exploring downtown and settling into Alaska. The next morning we hopped on a boat and visited Shearwater Cove, a beautiful off the grid yurt island full of adventure😍 This place is perfect for kayaking, hiking, and unplugging.

We played games, laughed a lot, drank beers, and hung out until the sun was getting low on the horizon. We hiked up to the top of the cliffs where the couple got into their wedding attire. After a joyous first look overlooking the ocean, the two got ready to say their vows.

Rock, paper, scissors determined that Pat was first to say his vows🙌 Take notes folks! These two knew how to make their day fun. After vows that had us all giggling and in tears, the two got friggin hitched.

We explored around  the cliffs and took in the never ending light that seemed to pour over the horizon. Day light in Alaska persists for a long time which makes for epic photos!

The next day Pat and Lauren headed off the island to go catch a boat tour of Resurrection Bay. It’s a great way to see wildlife, glaciers, and enjoy a meal n Fox Island. When they got back they spent their first night in Bambi, Vows with Views glamping hotel on wheels. We’ll tell you more about Bambi later 😜

The couple’s roadtrip took them on a boat adventure in the Chugash Mountains, to Palmer for a nights stay, to Talkeetnah for an ATV tour and time to check out the cute town, and finally to Denali. In Denali they went hiking, had incredible local meals, hopped on a bus for a tour full of wildlife and mountain views, and got to see the tallest mountain in all of the US!

Bambi is equipped with ac and heat, a comfy memory foam bed, a kitchen stocked with cooking utensils, a propane stove, fridge, microwave, and sink, a wet bath (say goodbye to pit toilets), and a tv.

About Our Roadtrips

Our Explorer’s Glamp-Packs are our signature honeymoon trips. They show you the best of the state you elope in!

These weeklong roadtrips take you to at least 3 sweet spots on the map, come with a full itinerary, and will get you going on some incredible adventures. Taryn is our coordination and travel expert. She will create a full itinerary for ya complete with hiking, restaurant, and adventure recommendations. There’s a ton of adventures to be had along your route. We partner with one-of-a-kind adventure companies and add on the adventures you wanna go on for ya.

As part of the pack, you will be assigned a dedicated Camp Host, who will work with be setting up and moving the Airstream for ya. Trust me, your Camp Host is almost as excited about your honeymoon as you are!

Our roadtrips last 7-9 nights depending on your destination. These predetermined routes have been put together by Mal, Halie and Taryn, who collectively have been exploring for over 10 years. You just know your honeymoon is going to be epic!

So where can you roadtrip around? The Airstream travels between the Southwest (Sedona and Zion), the San Juan Mountains of Colorado, the Oregon Coast, and Hood River Oregon.

We also have roadtrips for Kauai and Alaska. The Explorer’s Pack comes complete with sweet accommodations for you two! That means you can stay in a cute beach bungalow or a dope cabin for your honeymoon.
